Bruce E. Smith

Bruce E. Smith, 64, of Greensburg, Pa. died Sunday July 22, 2018 at his home. He was born December 26, 1953 in Braddock, Pa. Son of the late Carl F. and Helen Mae Mardis Smith. Prior to his retirement, he served in the U.S. Marine Core during Vietnam. He later went on to work as a waste management professional for Tri-Valley. Bruce loved being with his family and friends, sometimes fishing but mainly shooting pool. Bruce is preceded in death by both parents, wife Sara Jane Caldwell Smith, a daughter Shara Smith Blumentritt, one brother Gerald Smith and a sister Shirley Louise Quist. He is survived by one son Charles W. Smith of Georgia, one brother Ronald J. Smith and wife Mary of Greensburg, Pa., one sister Sandra King and husband Marshall of West Newton, Pa., “the kids” Stephanie Kemerer and husband Mike of Delmont, Pa., Nicholas J. Smith of Greensburg, Pa., Kristina Lillie, David McKenzie and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, Pa. Services will be held on Thursday July 26, 2018 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Green officiating.
