June W. (Wolff) Fawcett

June W. Fawcett, 94, of Yukon, Pa. died Sunday December 9, 2018 at Walden’s View of N. Huntingdon, Pa. She was born June 20, 1924 in Herminie, Pa. Daughter of the late Albert W. and Ruth Naomi Ewig Wolff. Graduating from the Sewickley High School in the early 1940’s she went on to work at Westinghouse during WWII. She later went on to work as a florist for Tull’s Florist in West Newton, Pa. where she worked full and part time until her early 90’s. She was a member of the Herminie United Methodist Church in Herminie, Pa., The Junior Order of American Mechanics Council #196 as well as a member of the Former Madison Golden Agers. June absolutely loved to travel. She had been to every state in the United States and every providence in Canada. She loved her grand kids, her time with family and she loved her dogs. She was also an avid Golden Girls tv show watcher. She is preceded in death by both parents, husband of 63 years Thomas R. Fawcett, two sons – Thomas R. and Robert W. Fawcett and one sister – Wilma Wolff Martz. She is survived by one daughter – Janet R. Fawcett of Herminie, Pa., one son – James E. Fawcett and wife Beverly of Cowansburg, Pa., one sister – Gladys Taylor and husband Clarence of Mechanicsburg, Pa., four grandchildren – Melanie Fawcett and husband Mark Carnes, Corey Fawcett, Jenny Steel and husband Loren and Benjamin Fawcett and wife Jean, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednedsay December 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, Pa. Services will be held Thursday December 13, 2018 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor John Ciampa officiating. Entombment will follow at the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in N.
