Lorraine (Maughan) Harshbarger

Lorraine Maughan Harshbarger, 88, of Wyano, Pa. ended her earthly journey with her family at her side as she finally got the wings of an angel on September 24, 2018 in Tonopah, AZ. She was born June 11, 1930 in Madison, Pa. Daughter of the late James and Rebecca Webster Maughan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wyano, Pa. for over sixty years. You could find Lorraine serving her church in many positions. She was the treasurer, secretary, the hoagie maker and the soup maker. Every once in a while, the custodian. But most of all, she was a faithful member, serving her Lord whenever she was asked. Lorraine was most fondly remembered as Aunt Rainy or Mom, but most of all, she was called Mammie. God blessed her with a heart big enough to love and care for many children throughout her life, including her precious great grandchildren. Her greatest legacy was how she embraced the love for her great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Gene Harshbarger and two brothers – Cecil Maughan and Jeep Maughan. She is survived by her only son, Curt G. Harshbarger and wife Margie of Tonopah, AZ., one brother – Donald (Butch) Maughan of Madison, Pa., two sisters -Shirley Miller of Youngwood, Pa. and Sarah Buffolina of Greensburg, Pa., two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday October, 4, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136. Madison, Pa. Services will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Mostsller officiating. A private interment will be held at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Pa.
