Pauline (Popella) Levine

Pauline Popella Levine, 86, of Ruffsdale, Pa., died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. She was born September 27, 1931, in Wendel, Pa. Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Hovance Popella. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Greensburg, Pa. During her life, Pauline worked as a Manager at the former Millers Inn Restaurant in Madison, Pa. She was also the personal secretary for the late Rudy Stanish for many many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Levine, one son – Joseph Allen Levine, one daughter – Valerie Lakin and one sister - Anne David. She is survived by one daughter – JoAnne Rothwell and husband Richard of Fontana, CA., five grandchildren – Kerri, Valtier and husband Mike of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., Melissa, Grimm and husband Phillip of Columbus, OH., Jennifer, Honse and husband Jason of Latrobe, Pa., Craig Rothwell and wife Martha of Fontana, CA. and Mike Lakin and wife Chelsea of Newark, DE. two sister-in-law’s – Elizabeth Higgins and Cathreen Sinnamond. Pauline has been blessed with eleven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her dearest friends Mike and Sally Kristoff. Friends will be received from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, Pa. A parastas service will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home. A requiem divine liturgy mass will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday September 29, 2018 at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Greensburg, Pa. with Fr. Regis J. Dusecina officiating. Followed by interment at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Pa.
