Anna “Betty” E. McCormick Cole, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, PA, formerly of Yukon, PA, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Amber House in Mt. Pleasant, PA. She was born July 21, 1925 in Greensburg, PA. Daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison “Harry” and Anna Sheraw McCormick. Betty was a lifelong member of Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA and the Red Hat Society. Betty loved to play a card game called 500 with a group of her close friends called “The Fancy Madison Ladies”. She enjoyed camping in a tent with her family and traveled all over the world with a group of 25 other families known as the “Ten-Tra-Hi”. Betty and her husband traveled to places such as England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and later in life purchased a motor home that they would take to a small town in central Florida known for their strawberry festivals. She is preceded in death by both parents, loving husband of 50+ years – Edwin Carl Cole, one son – Robert E. Cole, one brother – John McCormick and one sister – Dorothy Lauffer. She is survived by one daughter – Karen Rohaly and significant other James Graham of Connellsville, PA, three grandsons – Chad Cole and wife Samantha, Todd Rohaly and Brian Rohaly, one granddaughter – Amber Myers and husband Matthew, two great granddaughters – Lilianna and Briella and one son-in-law – John Rohaly of Yukon, PA. A Private funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA. Rev. Randy Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA - Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA in charge of services – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the American Cancer Society 510 Pellis Road Suite 203 Greensburg, PA 15601 or American Diabetes Society 112 Washington Place #1520 Pittsburgh, PA 15219. In compliance with the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, masks are required to be worn at all times while in the church and social distancing is required.
