Barbara L. (Skrabski) Nowicki

Barbara L. “Barb” (Skrabski) Nowicki, 81, of Irwin, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born November 29, 1940 in Herminie, PA. Daughter of the late Daniel and Kathryn (Roseman) Skrabski. Barb was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1958. She was a lifetime member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Herminie, PA. Barb loved to travel; traveling to places including Michigan, Hawaii and Mt. Rushmore with her husband. She enjoyed going polka dancing every weekend and going to the casino a time or two. She liked flowers, gardening and playing games on her iPad. She loved her family; gathering everyone together to eat homemade meals with family picnics and holidays. She is preceded in death by both parents and brother – Daniel Skrabski. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years – Ted Nowicki of Irwin, PA, two sons – Kent Nowicki and wife Deanna of Herminie, PA and Craig Nowicki and wife Kim of Herminie, PA, two grandchildren – Tyler and Emma, one great grandchild – Athena, brother – James Skrabski and wife Kim of Acme, PA and lifelong friends Margie and Bill Feero and family. A private viewing will be held at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private graveside service will be held at Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
