Barry L. Highberger, 72, of Herminie, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born September 12, 1951 in Sewickley Township, PA. Son of the late Howard A. and Theora “Faye” (Morgan) Highberger. He graduated from the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1969, during which he studied Agriculture in Votech and was in 4H. Barry was a member of Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA and served as a board member on the Sewickley Grange. He was a dairy farmer for many years and milked 50 Holstein dairy cows daily. Farming was Barry’s life; he lived it and he loved it. Barry loved John Deere and enjoyed pulling his tractors at the Sewickley Grange. He is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Janice Perlick and brother, Jerry Highberger. He is survived by sister, Linda (Jerry) Postlethwait of Herminie, PA; niece, Karie (Charles) Oblak of Jeannette, PA; nephew, Gerald “Ed” (Pam) Postlethwait of Herminie, PA; great nephew, David Postlethwait of New Stanton, PA; great niece, Emily (Brian) Carnahan of Jeannette, PA and great great nephew, Lucas Carnahan. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Elizabeth Dunlap officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
