Carl William Jessy, 72, of New Stanton, Pa. passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born October 3, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of the late Edward Jacob and Audrey Lillian LaGrange-Jessy. He graduated from Aspinwall High School in 1963 and went on to graduate from Thiel College in 1967. Prior to his retirement, he was a teacher for over 40 years, having taught at Kane Area Schools and at the Yeshiva Junior and Senior High School. He was a member of the New Stanton Alliance Church in Hunker, Pa. He loved to play the trumpet, solve crossword puzzles, read books and he also loved to fish in Canada at Sparrow Lake. In his spare time, he enjoyed working at ADESA car auction in New Stanton, Pa. as an auction car driver. Surviving is his son Michael Jessy and wife Cassandra of New Albany, Oh.; 3 grandchildren; Cameron, Dylan and Greyson; a sister Marianne Odonish and husband John of Kane, Pa.; a special friend Joanna Rasicci of Plum, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held at the New Stanton Alliance Church in Hunker, Pa. on Sunday, February 18th at 12:30 p.m. with the Pastor Dan Borchert officiating. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home Inc.
