Carroll D. "Bo" Humphries

Carroll D. “Bo” Humphries, 70, of Monessen, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was born December 13, 1948 in Charleroi, PA. Son of the late Samuel H. and Mildred Walters Humphries. Bo was a graduate of the Monessen High School class of 1967, then went to the Army to serve in the Vietnam War. After returning home, Bo attended Penn Technical Institute and received his associate degree and specialized in Electronics Technology. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Volkswagon for ten years and Alstrom for seventeen years, where he retired in 2014. Bo enjoyed fishing, working around his house and helping neighbors. He loved golfing every Saturday and Sunday where you could find him on the golf course. Bo and his wife would annually go for a golf vacation for their anniversary. Each time going to a different golf course. He is preceded in death by both parents, one brother – Samuel T. Humphries and one sister – Mildred A. “Toot” Blount. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years – Emma Joyce Humphries of Monessen, Pa., one sister – Haleloke “Loke” Khammungkhune of San Diego, CA., three aunts - Dorcas Glascoe of Washington, DC, Shirley Taylor of Monessen, PA and Dolly Smith of Masontown, PA. one uncle – Robert Walters of Monessen, PA, two brother in laws – Maurice Copeland of West Newton, PA. and Daniel Copeland and wife Zuleika of Belle Vernon, PA, one sister in laws – Gertrude Copeland of West Newton, PA, four nieces – Kieta Sheats of Atlanta, GA, Mary Christine Blount of Atlanta, GA, Tukada Reyes of San Francisco, CA and Di Villanueva of Los Angeles, CA, two nephews – William R. Kizzie of Atlanta, GA and Richard Blount of Atlanta, GA and a host of cousins and friends. Friends will be received from 4 – 8 pm on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the New Vision Christian Tabernacle at 201 Thompson Ave. Donora, PA 15033. Services will take place at 11 am on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at the church with Rev. Rhonda Frazier-Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery in Belle Vernon, PA.
