Charles C. Wareham, 88, of Greensburg, PA, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 in Greensburg, PA. He was born July 26, 1934 in McKeesport, PA. Son of the late Randolph R. and Vivian B. (Shutterly) Wareham. He attended the former Sewickley Township High School. After high school he traveled across the United States and back with his brother Don by motorcycle; stopping and working many different jobs to make the money needed to travel. Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the New Stanton Assembly of God Church in New Stanton, PA for many years. Charles was self-employed in PA and then worked and retired from his excavation business, Ann’s Backhoe Service in Pheonix, AZ. Charles was a very hard worker and instilled his hard work ethic in his children. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, taking Sunday drives with the family, and visiting relatives. Later he had a successful business where he taught his son David the “Wareham Way” of digging ditches in the hard desert rock of Arizona. His methods continue to be taught through the generations. After his retirement he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play football, softball, and soccer, and spent his Friday nights at high school football games, as well as watching many sporting events on television and walking on the 5-star trail. He is preceded in death by both parents; his first wife of 18 years, Catherine M. (Ashley) White, second wife Ann Wareham; infant son, Daniel; step-daughter, Amber, daughter-in-law, Jodi (Trout) Wareham and six brothers, Harry, Bill, Ray, Clyde, Dave and Don Wareham. He is survived by 6 children, Lorene Jones (Wayne) of Parker, PA, Charlene Coley of Greensburg, PA, Darlene Wareham of Greensburg, PA, Jeffrey A. Wareham (Jackie) of New Stanton, PA, Greg Wareham of Hunker, PA, David Randolph Wareham of Tucson, AZ; and step-son, Christopher; grandchildren, Jaime Wareham, Joell (Matt) Clark, Lilith (Brandi) Granlund, Alan (Jill) Wareham, Jeremiah (Nicole) Wareham, Jessica Meron, Chelsea (Sean) Wilson, Zachary (Lauren) Wareham, Jacob (Natalie) Wareham, Taylor Wareham, Jeremy and Colton Meadows and Garrett Button; great-grandchildren, Lila and Grayson Clark; Lilly Haber; Abigail, Erik, and A.J. Granlund; Kelsey, Alan, Gabriel, Peyton, and Logan Wareham; Jayci and Jody Wareham; Brianna Meron; Eden and Asa Wareham; and Grace and Jacob Wareham; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley and Addison Wareham; and brother, Clifford Wareham of Greensburg, PA. He also had a special niece Brenda (Wayne) Stiffler of Apollo, Pa. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the New Stanton Assembly of God Church, Family Life Campus, 1131 Thermo Village Road, New Stanton, PA 15672. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Ron Ingelido officiating. A private interment will take place at the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in Irwin, PA with full military honors by the Armbrust Veterans accorded.
