Darrel J. Marks

Darrel J. Marks, 63, of New Stanton, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born November 8, 1959 in Greensburg, PA. Son of Dorothy (Shively) Marks and the late Don Miller Marks. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School Class of 1978. Darrel was a long-time member of the Living Hope Church in Whitney, PA. He worked as a laborer for the Hillview Bowling Lanes in Greensburg, PA for many years. Darrel enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and listening to country music. He enjoyed watching sports on television and was an avid Penguins and Steelers fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing youth baseball. He is preceded in death by his father and survived by his loving mother, Dorothy M. Marks of New Stanton, PA; two brothers, David R. Marks of New Stanton, PA and Douglas R. Marks (Paula) of Greensburg, PA; one niece, Rachael Marks and nephew, Joshua Marks. Friends will be received from 10 am – 11 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
