Dean A. Mensch

Dean A. “Deano” Mensch, 56, of New Stanton, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born November 25, 1966 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Dale I. Sr. and Betty J. (Ritenour) Mensch. He graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1985; learning carpentry in VoTech. He then attended Triangle Tech where he received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Drafting. He worked in construction as an Estimator for Sturge Construction and Branson Construction Inc. for many years. Dean loved and was very good at shooting pool. He was in many pool leagues and played in national tournaments for several years. He liked drawing cartoon figures, was an animal lover and disc jockeyed some with his friends. In his younger years, Dean enjoyed playing football, baseball, white water rafting, trips to Hershey Park and Wildwood, NJ and camping with his family. He is preceded in death by both parents and brother, Duane S. Mensch. He is survived by one brother, Dale I. Mensch Jr. (Gretchen) of Plum, PA; special cousin and caregiver, Missy Shaffer, special Uncle Ernie Davis and numerous cousins. Friends will be received from 3 pm – 6 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Samuel Schiederer officiating. A private interment will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Middletown United Methodist Church in Greensburg, PA.
