Dorothy “Diane” (O’Rourke) Mauk, 82 of Madison, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 25, 2024 in
Independence Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born December 12, 1941 in Wilmerding a
daughter of the late William MacDonald.
Dorothy was employed by Wilmore Jewelers, North Huntingdon as a jewelry sales associate. She was a
member of the West Newton United Presbyterian Church and the West Newton Singers. Known for her
angelic voice, Diane shared her gift of music her entire life. Her last and final gift was as a donor to
C.O.R.E. -the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd M. “Hawk” Mauk and a sister,
Kathy Wees.
She is survived by her loving children, Geri O’Rourke and her wife, Paula Palfey, Jeanne Rager and her
husband, Bob and Dennis O’Rourke and his wife, Diana; her grandchildren, Valerie Moore and Dylan
O’Rourke who were the loves of her life; her siblings, Reida Lindquist, Ron MacDonald, Dotty Miller and
a very special sister, Vicki (Jim) Herrington, as well as a special nephew, Ryne MacDonald.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL
HOME, INC., Madison, Ronald A. Rich, Jr., Supervisor/FD. where her funeral service will be held on
Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor John Manon officiating. Interment will follow in the Madison Union
