Edward Thomas Geary, 56, of New Stanton, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. Ed was born on January 8, 1966 in Mt. Pleasant, PA to the late William E. Geary. In 1981 he became the loving son of Donna J. Geary. Ed graduated from Hempfield High School Class of 1984 and went on to graduate from the Occupational Development Institute’s Custodial program in 1986. He was employed at the Westmoreland Manor, Centralized Linen, the Norvelt Sewing Factory and McDonald’s. Ed was a Civil War aficionado, as well as many other interests including his knife collection, western movies, collectible western dolls, video games and bears. He is survived by his mother, Donna, brother Bill, (Kelly) Grandma Dee, special aunt Wanda, nieces and nephews, Hallie (Dave) Long, Amber Geary (Ryan), Stephanie (Broc) Faylor, Andrew (Hayley) Geary, Cody, Jason and Josh, great niece Piper and great nephews Jackson and Maddox. Also, Cindy Geary, numerous cousins, aunts, uncle and special friends Les and Linda Sanner. Friends will be received from 2 – 5 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 5 pm with Rev. Diane Wiley officiating. A private interment will follow at the Madison Union Cemetery.
