Franklin G. Beyrand, 78, of Yukon, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant, PA. Son of the late Frank and Theresa (Valla) Beyrand. Frank was a graduate of South Huntingdon High School Class of 1961. He then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in 1965 from California University. Frank served in the Army Reserves as a Reserve Commissioned Officer. He was a lifetime member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon, PA. Frank taught briefly at Hempfield School District. He then went on to work at U.S. Steel; working at several U.S. Steel plants across the country and ultimately returning to Irvin Works where he retired as a Senior Systems Designer after 36 years. Frank was a deeply religious man who loved God, motorcycles, fast cars and rock and roll. He is preceded in death by both parents, wife Mildred Louise Patchan of 9 years and one brother – John Michael Beyrand. He is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years – Karen L. (Potocher) Beyrand of Yukon, PA and one son – John M. Beyrand and wife Tara of N. Huntingdon, PA. The family would like to thank Excela Hospice and Dr. John Waas and his team for the excellent care given to Frank. Memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter in Frank’s memory. “To my brave Frank, you fought so hard for so long. Now you are at rest.
