Obituary

Gene P. Pieniadz, 78, of Irwin, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Harmon House Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, PA. He was born June 17, 1943 in Braddock, PA. Son of the late Alex and Lydia (Chatlos) Pieniadz. Gene was born with and suffered from cerebral palsy but never let it slow him down. Gene was an assembler at a workshop for the handicap in Kittaning, PA, as well as having local jobs throughout the years. He enjoyed working and was proud of his accomplishments. Gene was a very kind, giving and pleasant man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always ready to give a helping hand; spending many days helping his family work on home projects. He enjoyed camping, boating and was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by both parents and one brother – William Pieniadz. He is survived by sister-in-law – Marlene R. Pieniadz of Ruffsdale, PA, two nephews – William Pieniadz and wife Cindy, Rick Pieniadz and wife Tracy, niece – Susan Dean and husband Benjamin, great nephew - Alex Pieniadz and wife Heather, great nieces - Emily Pieniadz and fiancé Dylan, Izabella Pieniadz, Courtney Lynn and husband Andrew and Caitlin Dean, 3 great great niece and nephews – Josie, Max and Marcus and uncle – William Chatlos. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Krentz officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
