Genevieve E. Moore Cunningham, 91, of Ruffsdale, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, February 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 29, 1929 in Ruffsdale, PA. Daughter of the late Harry and Frances Kemmer Moore. Genevieve was a lifetime member of the United Church of Christ in New Stanton, PA and never missed a Sunday service. She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved having family around and made time for every one of her family members. She loved to cook and bake and made delicious chocolate chip cookies, cream puffs, bread, custard pie and cinnamon rolls. She was always busy and liked canning, gardening, cleaning and doing yard work. She liked to crochet and make everyone blankets. In her younger years, she helped milk cows and work the fields with their horses with her dad on the family farm. She is preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband of 72 years - Cyrus Perkins Cunningham, one daughter – Alice Fox and one great grandson – Gage R. Blanish. She is survived by two sons – Ted Cunningham and wife Dawn of New Stanton, PA and Ralph “Tubby” Cunningham and wife Rita of Irwin, PA, one daughter – Millie Blanish and significant other Daryl Dermotta of Smithton, PA, one sister – Gladys “Toot” Royer and husband Bob of Ruffsdale, PA, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, Son in-law Phillip Fox of Hunker, Pa, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Sweet officiating. A private interment will follow at the St. Paul Seanor Church Cemetery in New Stanton, PA. The family would like to thank Ridgeview Personal Care and Emma, Christine and Carolyn with Heritage Hospice for their loving and compassionate care they provided to their mother. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Westmoreland County Blind Association 911 S Main St Greensburg, PA 15601 or the American Heart Association 444 Liberty Ave #1300 Pittsburgh, PA 15222. In compliance with the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, only 20 people will be permitted at one time into the funeral home. Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the funeral home and social distancing is required.
