H. Martha (Carr) Anderson, 85, of Irwin, PA, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Murrysville Rehabilitation and Wellness in Murrysville, PA. She was born August 2, 1936 in Boquet, PA. Daughter of the late Howard Homer Sr. and Helen M. (Shetler) Anderson Carr. Martha was a very loving and compassionate person; taking care of many of her family members throughout her life. She loved to bake apple and rhubarb pies and tend to the peonies in her flower garden. She enjoyed painting wooden bird houses; painting one for every grandchild and great-grandchild. She traveled with her family to Sea World, Niagara Falls and North Carolina; where she saw the ocean for the first time. She enjoyed listening to polka music, collecting salt and pepper shakers and going on weekend road trips. She is preceded in death by both parents, loving husband – Clarence Earl (Bill) Anderson, one son – William Earl (Little Bill) Anderson, one daughter – Donna Lee Anderson, one brother – Howard Homer Carr Jr. and three sisters – Dorothy Snider, Eva Jane Notovich and infant sister Peggy Sue Carr. She is survived by one daughter – Bonnie (John) Stevenson of Irwin, PA, one son – Arthur Henry (Mary) Carr of Dillsburg, PA, three grandchildren – John “JT” (Nicole) Stevenson, Crystal L. Gamble and Jamie (Curt) Luster, seven great grandchildren –Tommy, Nick and Tyler Stevenson; Mark and Emily Gamble; Braylen and Lochlen Luster, one sister – Hilda Anderson, one half-brother – George Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10 am – 12 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Herminie, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Martha’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association 400 Penn Center Blvd #524 Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
