Helen Ondrejko, 91, of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, February 14, 2022, in Greensburg, PA. She was born March 21, 1930, in Yukon, PA. Daughter of the late Steve and Sarah (Buchan) Miskovich. Helen was a graduate of South Huntingdon High School Class of 1948. Helen was involved in the Holy Ascension Serbian Church and volunteered her time at the Croatian Club in Yukon, PA. Helen loved to socialize and be around people. She loved spending as much time as she could with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was very generous and giving with her family. She loved to dance and listen to polkas. She enjoyed singing and would often be heard singing, “You Are My Sunshine”. Helen also loved animals and enjoyed going for walks. She is preceded in death by both parents, Loving husband Albert J. Ondrejko, son – Dennis Ondrejko, daughter – Karen Evansek, six brothers – Dave Miskovich, Robert Miskovich, Steve Miskovich, Michael Korsch, Miller Korsch and Lotsie Korsch, one sister - Katherine Miskovich and two sons-in-law – Vincent Kovach and Lawrence Evansek. She is survived by two daughters - Allison Ondrejko and Clifford VanKirk Jr. of Westmoreland City, PA, and Marlene Ondrejko-Kovach of Hunker, PA, four grandchildren - Khriste Swiderski and husband Raymond of Latrobe, PA, Marisa Abbott and husband Scott of Rostraver Twp, PA, Ashleigh Rosinski and husband Michael of Ligonier, PA, and Taylor Chase and husband Brandon of West Newton, PA and six great grandchildren – Isabella Rosinski, Rayahna Swiderski, Ava Abbott, Isaac Abbott, Ithaco Rosinski and Evelyn Chase. A private graveside service will be held at Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Hempfield Manor for the loving and compassionate care provided to their mother. Also, the family would like to thank special friend and neighbor, Leah Wilps, for the loving care and time spent with their mother at her home.
