J. Kenneth Torrance

J Kenneth Torrance, 89, of Ruffsdale, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born June 23, 1932 in Owensdale, PA. Son of the late Lewis E. and Minnie (Pletcher) Torrance. Ken was a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1950. He was a past member of the Mendon Baptist Church and a current member of the Perryopolis Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by both parents, loving first wife of 53 years – Wanda Torrance, one son – Jeffrey Kenneth Torrance and loving second wife of 5 years – May Torrance. He is survived by one daughter – Barbara A. Pegorie of Ruffsdale, PA, four grandchildren – Jason E. Torrance and wife Kristin of Irwin, PA, Christopher R. Torrance, Ashley Parana and husband Joshua of Ruffsdale, PA and Aaron D. Pegorie of Ruffsdale, PA and three great grandchildren - Beau Kenneth, Vada J and Drake Phillip Torrance. Services are private followed by a private interment at Barren Run Methodist Cemetery in Smithton, PA. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD.
