James A. Geary, 62, of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 19, 1959 in Greensburg, PA. Son of Eliza E. (Bussard) Geary of Arona, PA and the late Jesse E. Geary. He was a graduate of Yough High School Class of 1977. He worked for 24 years and retired from the Boilermakers Local 154 in Pittsburgh, PA as a welder. James was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was a great gardener, enjoyed listening to classic rock and loved watching the Pirates and Pens. James was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He enjoyed wood working, watching Bob Ross on T.V., going to auctions, collecting baseball cards, and playing cards with his friends. He and his family enjoyed camping. He would make frequent visits to Lancaster to visit his daughter Jessica and enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and survived by his mother, loving wife of 38 years – Barbara E. (Darnell) Geary of Greensburg, PA, two daughters – Jessica Deer and husband David of Lancaster, PA, Sheley Geary of Jeannette, PA, three brothers – Ray Geary and wife Cindy of Butler, PA, Gary Sanner of Greensburg, PA and Larry Sanner and wife Linda of Arona, PA, loving dogs - Bella and Sophie and three grand dogs. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private Service will be held by the Local #154 Boilermakers at 8pm at the funeral home. A service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at the Madison Union Cemetery in Madison, PA.
