Janice A. (Barton) Miller

Janice A. Miller, 81, of Rillton, PA formerly of North Huntingdon passed away peacefully Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. She was born July 21, 1940 in Jeannette, PA. Daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Marr) Barton. Janice was a graduate of North Huntingdon High School Class of 1958. She also took classes in Business Management at Grove City College. Janice worked for Highland Carbide Tool Company as a secretary and retired after many years of service. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Harrison City. Janice enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and taking care of many beloved pets over the years. She also liked square dancing and couples bowling with her husband. In later years, she was a member of a Thursday morning Ladies Bowling League. Prior to retirement, she and her husband enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach each fall and then began spending the winter months in the area for many years. She is preceded in death by both parents, husband – Robert D. Miller and loving step-father – Walter Marr. She is survived by two daughters – Jody Pytlak (David) of Rillton, PA and Kristen O’Donnell (Gerald) of North Huntingdon, PA, six grandchildren – Karissa Kocerka (Jack), Sarah Pytlak (Chris), Devin Nadas (Alex), Jacob Pytlak, Liam O’Donnell and Declan O’Donnell and two great grandchildren – Hannah and Luke Kocerka. Friends will be received from 3 – 7 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Jerrad Peterman officiating. Interment will follow at the West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, PA. Masks are highly recommended to be worn while in the funeral home.
