Jeffrey A. Kite, 61, of Yukon, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by his family. He was born June 3, 1960 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Gerald A. and Julia Anne (Slivensky) Kite. Jeff was a graduate of Yough Senior High School Class of 1978, where he played drums in the high school band and was on the wrestling team. In his younger years, he played midget football for the Yukon Football team. Upon graduation, Jeff served in the Air Force for 3 years. Jeff then went on to work as a truck driver for over 40 years for Carr Transport, Bowman and T.R. Trucking. He was a lifetime member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon, PA. Jeff was the Vice President and Lieutenant of Yukon VFC, where he was a member for 45 years. He began writing grants for the fire company in 2005 and did an excellent job at it. He was also a former member of Madison VFC. He took many fire science classes and certifications throughout the years which made him a very knowledgeable addition to the fireman staff. He was a Son of Legion Post # 0258 in Port Allegheny, a member of the SNPJ in Yukon, PA and the Westmoreland County Fireman’s Association. He was a volunteer for Sewickley Ambulance Service for 40 years. Jeff volunteered thousands of hours throughout his life and cared deeply for helping others. He was infatuated by B17 Bombers, enjoyed talking about the memories he had on the family trip to Disney in FL and enjoyed camping with his family in Potter County where he would go hunting and ride ATV’s. He is preceded in death by both parents, loving wife – Veronica (Milsop) Kite and maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by daughters – Jennifer Y. Kite and fiancé Josh of Armbrust, PA and Danielle Moose of Yukon, PA, nieces and nephews – Bobbie Jo, Mark Jr., Brandon and Megan, two brothers – Mark Kite and wife Barb of Yukon, PA and Brian Kite and wife Stacey of Tarrs, PA, and furbabies – Nadia, Sassy, Daisy and Mr. Bear. A private visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A fireman’s service will be held during visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, 102 Center St. Yukon, PA 15698, with Fr. Vincent Yee-Concepcion officiating. Interment will follow at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church Cemetery in Yukon, PA. with full Military Honors by the Armbrust Veterans Accorded.
