John R. Lynn, 80, of Arona, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Greensburg, PA. He was born February 3, 1941 in Rostraver Township, PA. Son of the late Earl C. and Mettie J. Comer Lynn. John attended the Word of Life Church in Greensburg, PA for over 16 years. He worked and retired after 30 years of service from Giant Eagle in Irwin, PA as a product placement specialist. John was a very religious, loving and compassionate man. He would share the teachings of Jesus to all he knew and passed on his faith to his family. John always provided for his family; working a day and night job when his children were young. In his younger years, John worked on the family farm milking cows and bailing hay.He was always willing to lend a hand for his friends, family and neighbors. John loved his porch swing, watching Jimmy Swagger and Ice Road Truckers on tv and cutting grass; once owning a small business where he maintained 17 different lawns with the help of his grandson. He treasured the time he spent with his family at a vacation in Key West, FL; enjoying time on a sunset cruise and having quality family time. He is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers – Roy and Walter Lynn and two sisters - Catherine Suzich and Laverne Skokut. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years – Nancy L. (Fox) Lynn of Arona, PA, one son – John Lynn and significant-other Frank Thomas of Bradenton, FL, one daughter – Katheleen L. Sanner and husband John of Arona, PA, one grandson – Brad Sanner and wife Kristen and great granddaughter – Addison Rae Sanner. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A church service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Middletown United Methodist Church 1050 Middletown Rd, Greensburg, PA 15601 with Pastor Robert Green and Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Interment will follow at the Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
