John W. Yuknalis

John W. Yuknalis, 73, of Hutchinson, PA, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home. He was born July 5, 1949 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late John and Mary (Bobnar) Yuknalis. He graduated from Yough Senior High School Class of 1968; where he played guitar and the tuba in the high school band. John was a member of the St Edwards Catholic church in Herminie, Pa. He attended California University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in English and minored in Theatre. John was a substitute teacher for many years and loved helping others. He worked as a Social worker for the County and later in life becoming a Massage Therapist to help those in pain. John was a funny guy who enjoyed playing guitar, caring for his cats and listening to music by the Beetles. He enjoyed theatre acting and performed in a Cabaret with his mother in several plays. He enjoyed watching movies with his brother and being an extra in several movies including “Night of the Living Dead”, “Mothman”, and “Lorenzo’s Oil”. He is preceded in death by both parents and survived by his brother – Jarett Yuknalis and wife Kathleen of Rostraver Township, PA and sister – Jane Bershok and husband Russ of Hickory, PA. and several nieces and nephews.
