Joseph W. Marvich

Joseph W. Marvich, 91, of Yukon, PA passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born on November 26, 1929 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mary Marvich. Joseph joined the U.S. Army where he served in Germany during World War II as a Private. He began his service on the Queen Elizabeth and traveled across Germany to reach camp. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Joseph worked and retired from U.S. Steel in Braddock, PA as a Foreman. Joseph loved to fish, hunt and work in the garden. He enjoyed fishing most in Potter County with his step-some Mark. He loved his pets and enjoyed feeding the deer, turkey, squirrel and birds that came around his home. He is preceded in death by both parents and his loving wife of 35 years – Marilyn V. Marvich. He is survived by one step-son – Mark Stadterman of Yukon, PA, two nephews – Scotty Stadterman and wife Caitlin of Yukon, PA and Craig Marvich and wife Becky of Madison, PA and his loving companion Rosie. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc.
