June (Lape) Fulmer

June Lape Fulmer, 90, of Irwin, Pa, previously of Hutchinson, PA, passed away April 10, 2021 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. She was born May 31, 1930 in Shaner, PA. Daughter of the late Russell and Sarah Tinsley Lape. June was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1948. After raising her children, she attended WCCC where she received her certificate to become a nurse’s aide and worked as a home health aide for many years before retirement. June attended Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA and was very involved in church activities. June cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a sweet, kind and caring woman. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, flowers and photography. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband – David Fulmer, one daughter – Daveen (Fulmer) Bickerstaff and two brothers – Carl and Roy Lape. She is survived by three daughters – Linda (Fulmer) Romero and husband Luis of Tampa, FL, Patti (Fulmer) Klaus and husband Jak of Flagstaff, AZ and Judi (Fulmer) Smith and husband Donald of West Newton, PA, one son – David Fulmer and wife Karen of Redmond, WA and one son-in-law – Mark Bickerstaff of Herminie, PA. June is also survived by seven grandchildren – Tarah, Laura, Amy, Jonathan, Drew, Ben and Sam, two great grandchildren – Estella and Calvin and two sisters – Nancy (Lape) Globosky of Erie, PA and Sharon (Lape) Gourley of Herminie, PA. Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA with Rev. Randy Sweet officiating. June will be laid to rest at Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made in her memory to Transitions Healthcare 8850 Barnes Lake Road Irwin, PA 15642 or Excela Home Health Care and Hospice 1 Mellon Way Latrobe, PA 15650. In compliance with the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, only 40 people will be permitted at one time in the funeral home. Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the funeral home and social distancing is required.
