Lorraine (Converso) Steban

Lorraine (Converso) Steban, 80, of West Newton, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA surrounded by her family. She was born January 18, 1942 in Greensburg, PA. Daughter of the late Richard and Catherine (Zowada) Converso. Lorraine was a graduate of the former Sewickley Township High School Class of 1959. She was as a certified nursing assistant for 26 years; working and retiring from the former Baldock Health Care Center. She was a bright, quick-witted woman who loved caring for people. She loved her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an amazing memory and loved sharing stories. Lorraine was easy to talk to and enjoyed spending time with her family at Mountain Pines Resort. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off tickets and watching the Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing with her mother, crocheting, cooking and baking. She is preceded in death by son - John Alan Steban and ex-husband – John F. Steban. She is survived by two daughters – Denise Sansonetti and husband Tim of Pittsburgh, PA and Kim Bartos and husband Steve of West Newton, PA, eight grandchildren – Justin (Jasmin), Ashley (Jeremy), Katie (Donald), Nathan, Zachary, Rebecca, Kristina and Tyler, three great grandchildren – Taylor, Paige and Milan, four brothers – Richard Converso of Wyano, PA, Peter Gritsch and wife Ingrid of France, Kevin Converso and Dennis Converso of West Newton, PA and grand furbabies – Abbie and Leo. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 7:30 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Sweet officiating. Interment private will take place at the West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pa..
