Margaret "Peggy" A. (Peterson) Miller

Margaret “Peggy” A. (Peterson) Miller, 89, of New Stanton, PA, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at RNC in Greensburg, PA. She was born December 29, 1932 in McKeesport, PA. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ohs and biological parents James and Irene Peterson. She was a graduate of Youngwood High School. After high school, she was a cook for Howard Johnson’s for many years. During that time, she met the love of her life on a blind date at the hotel. She then worked in housekeeping at several hotels including the Comfort Inn for many years. Peggy enjoyed playing bingo and watching basketball and other sporting events on television. She enjoyed square dancing and going shopping with her husband. She also enjoyed listening to older country music. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, biological parents, two brothers – James and Richard Peterson, one half-brother – Dale Daum and two sisters – Betty Santucci and Florence. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years – Luther D. Miller of New Stanton, PA and two sons – Dean E. Miller and significant-other Susan Confer of Grapeville, PA and Edward L. Miller and significant-other Karen Stillitano of Jeannette, PA. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Don Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA.
