Margery L. Harbaugh Magyar, 85, of Hunker, PA, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA due to complications of COVID-19. She was born October 25, 1935 in Youngwood, PA. Daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Dorothy G. Glasser Harbaugh. Margery was a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant High School. She was a member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Scottdale, PA for over 40 years. She was an active member in her community, volunteering her time during Strawberry Festivals, Christmas parties, being a member on the borough council and working the election polls. Margery loved to crochet, watch game shows, word puzzles and enjoyed listening to polka music. She loved kids and was known as a grandma to many children in her town. She is preceded in death by both parents, loving husband – Frank A. Magyar Sr, and two brothers – Kenneth J. Harbaugh and Robert D. Harbaugh. She is survived by son – Frank Magyar Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter – Eileen Williams of Hunker, PA, brother – William Harbaugh and wife Lynn of Dunlap, TN, sister-in-law – Pat Harbaugh of Hunker, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery in Scottdale, PA with Fr. Oehl Seremchuk officiating.
