Mary Linda (Bateman) Vorpagel

Mary “Linda” Vorpagel, 76, of Ruffsdale, PA, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Pittsburgh on March 16, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Franey) Bateman. She graduated from Church Hill High School in 1965. Linda loved nature and animals and spending time with them. She is survived by her son Gerald Vorpagel Jr. at home; her daughter Tammy and son-in-law Dennis Regula of Ruffsdale; two granddaughters, Nicole Regula and her fiancée Jesse Krueger of Donora; Jessica Meenihan and her husband Collin of Murrysville; one great grandson, Lonnie Krueger; one brother, James Bateman and his wife Carol of Florida; her special friend Robert Molnar of Ruffsdale, along with many other family, friends, fur kids and grandfur kids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Vorpagel Sr. and her brothers, Donald, George “Michael” and Paul Bateman. At Linda’s request there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements were entrusted to Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. The family wishes to send special thanks to her nurses and aides.
