Meredith "Don" D. Rupert

Meredith D. “Don” Rupert, 84, of Ruffsdale, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born November 29, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA. Son of the late Meredith D. and Sarah Rupert. Don attended and graduated from high school in Pittsburgh, PA. He then served in the U.S. Navy. He worked and retired from American Travelers Life as an independent insurance agent. Don enjoyed going to the Herminie Senior Center twice week to play bingo and volunteering many hours at the Harmon House Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, PA. Don loved to cook and created many delicious dishes for his family including pork n' sauerkraut. He enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins, listening to oldies music and tending to his yearly tomato and pepper garden. He is preceded in death by both parents, wife – Patricia L. (Larimer) Rupert, one daughter – Connie Rupert and two brothers – Delbert and Richard Rupert. He is survived by his one son - Michael, one daughter - Deborah, loving companion – Barbara A. Harrold of Youngwood, PA and his fur baby Jazzy. Services and interment will be private. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA in charge of arrangements – Ronald A.
