Michael A. Krautz

Michael A. Krautz, 85, of New Stanton, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA surrounded by his family. He was born April 5, 1938 in Westmoreland County. Son of the late Michael A. Sr. and Catherine (Opsitnick) Krautz. He was as graduate of Hempfield High School Class of 1956. Michael began his professional career as a truck driver for B&P Motor Express in Irwin, PA; where he was the owner and operator. He then went on to work and retire from Quikrete Cement in Latrobe, PA. Trucking was his passion and he enjoyed sharing it in road trips with his wife. He was a long-time member of the Teamsters Local #30. Michael enjoyed watching NASCAR and gardening. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy A. (Pender) Krautz and daughter, Debra A. Proctor of Youngwood, PA. He is survived by two sons, Daniel J. (Mary) Krautz of New Stanton, PA and Michael A. (Patricia) Krautz III of Youngwood, PA; special grandson, caretaker and best friend, Daniel J. Krautz Jr. of Greensburg, PA; one brother, Ronnie Krautz of Jeannette, PA and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA in charge of arrangements – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. All services will be private. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Michael’s memory to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438.
