Morris J. “Moe” Beers Jr., 49, of Mill Run, PA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Ruffsdale, PA. He was born October 31, 1973 in Greensburg, PA. Son of Morris J. Sr. and Sally L. (Trout) Beers. He graduated from Yough Senior High School Class of 1992. After graduation, Moe went into the Operating Engineers Local 66 training program where he served his apprenticeship and received his operator license. He then worked as an Operating Engineer for Local 66 for over 25 years. He was a hard worker; beginning at the age of 14, working at Lou’s Gas Station and Kerber’s Farm. Moe enjoyed riding his blue and silver Ultra Classic Harley, listening to oldies and older country music and spending time in his garden. He loved food and was a great cook! He enjoyed fishing at the Mill Run Reservoir and Confluence Overflow with friends and family. He was a talented woodworker and carpenter; creating many items for his wife for their home including a tool bench, spice cabinet, gate and bedroom set. He is survived by his wife, Lori A. (Cardin) Beers, of Mill Run, PA; both parents; daughter, Jolene D. Beers of Mill Run, PA; step-sons, Bailey (Ashley) Langford of Brownsville, PA and Tanner Bush of Mill Run, PA; step-grandchildren, Rylee Langford and Rowan Langford. One sister, Holly L. (fiancé Charles Reaggle) Keener and his best friend and service dog, Onyx. Moe would take Onyx everywhere, and of course stop at Dairy Queen to get food and ice cream for both of them before they came home for the day. They had an inseparable bond and devotion. A memorial service will be heald on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2:30pm at Madison Hilltop UMC 222 Church Ln. Madison, Pa. 15663 with Rev. Randy Sweet as Celebrant.
