Nora F. Havranek Dailey, 87, of Erie, PA formerly of Arona, PA, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at Norvant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She was born March 26, 1933 in Arona, PA. Daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Bussard Havranek. Nora was a member of The Church of the Nazarene in Arona, PA for 50+ years. She was very involved with her church – being a Sunday school teacher as well as being involved with missionary work. She loved working with the children, loved to sing and was the loudest voice in the church. Nora was very family oriented and spent most evenings at her sister Loretta’s house socializing, doing crafts and coloring with the kids. She was very patient and loved to be with children. She was an avid collector of items including Barbie’s, dolls and stuffed animals. Nora loved to go to the yearly family reunions and Idlewild park with her family. She is preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband of 56 years – William C. Dailey, two brothers – Patrick and Richard Havranek and three sisters – Elsie Miller, Ester Ritenour and Loretta Zitkovich. She is survived by one daughter – Melanie Dhappart and husband James of Kannapolis, NC, one son – William Dailey Jr. of Erie, PA, five grandchildren – Caitlin, April, Jimmy, Amanda and Samantha, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation which will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA. Services will be held at 1 pm with Rev. Randy Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA
