Richard E. Anthony, 60, of New Stanton, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Excela Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, PA. He was born November 5, 1961 in St. Mary, PA. Son of the late Howard A. and Helen L. (Strader) Anthony. Rich was a graduate of Yough Senior High School Class of 1980. He was operator and owner as an auto glass installer at Arona Auto Glass for 25 years. Prior to owning his company, he worked in the auto glass industry for over 30 years. He was a 30+ year member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, as well as a member of the pool league at the Central Hotel in Yukon, PA. Rich was a wonderful husband and loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He was a big guy with a big heart. He was a softie that loved to joke with everyone. He was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt and enjoyed the outdoors; from crick to mountains. He was an avid reader; enjoying old western and murder mystery books. He had a garden and was very proud of his tomatoes. He enjoyed many summer vacations at his camp in Emporium, PA with his family and friends. The camp was nicknamed “Hacksaw Howie’s” and held many bonfires and fishing trips. He is preceded in death by both parents and one infant brother – David Alan Anthony. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years - Carol A. (Eisaman) Anthony of New Stanton, PA, one son – Casey Anthony and family of Ruffsdale, PA, one daughter – Danielle L. Anthony and fiancé Anthony of Yukon, PA, six grandchildren – Cooper, Jeremiah, Lily, Tessa, Jaley and Kyra, two brothers – Mark Anthony and wife Susan of Emporium, PA and Neil Whiting of New Stanton, PA and one sister – Tanya Thom of Utah. Friends will be received from 10 am – 12 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church 627 Baltzer Meyer Pike Greensburg, PA 15601. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon at the church with Pastor James West officiating. Interment will be private.
