Richard A. Errett

Richard A. Errett, 88, of Greensburg, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born on July 22, 1935 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late James F. and Mary (Gill) Errett. He graduated from Greensburg High School Class of 1954. After graduation, Richard served in the U.S. Army and then went on to work and retire from SuperValu. Richard was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Arona, PA. And a member of the Free Mason’s Lodge No. 225. Richard’s first love was gardening. He enjoyed working in his flower garden and caring for his bonsai trees. He visited Disney World upon it’s opening in 1979 and continued the tradition every year with family. He also enjoyed traveling anywhere family would take him including Gettysburg, Dollywood and Berlin, Ohio. He is preceded in death by both parents; four sisters, Alice Poppick, Dawn Koebler, Dolores Brown and Sandra White; three brothers, Clifford Errett, Paul Errett and Thomas Errett; brother-in-laws, Tom Brown, John Poppick and Bill Koebler. He is survived by one sister, Wanda J. (Robert Jr.) Whisner of New Stanton, PA; nieces and nephews, Paula Steiner, Douglas Koebler, Jamie Koebler, Heather Snyder, Tamara Cramer, Kevin Errett, David Errett, Roger Errett, Renee Errett, Tim Poppick, Tommy Brown, Patricia Leach, sister-in-law, Barbara Errett; great nephew, Robert Whisner IV and special friend, Larue Gray.
