Richard A. Lloyd

Richard A. Lloyd, 68, of Jeannette, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, PA. He was born October 27, 1954 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Kenneth M. and Viola C. (Peters) Lloyd. He graduated from Stuttgart American High School Class of 1972. Rich served for eight years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a drill instructor and motor transport operator. He received the National Defense service medal. During his tours, he traveled with his wife and family to Germany, Texas and New Jersey. He worked and retired from Shuster’s as a door manufacturer after 10 years of service. He loved to travel on his Harley Heritage soft tail with his wife for many hours. Rich enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, wood working, remodeling the home and listening to classic rock. He is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Kenneth M. Lloyd Jr.; infant brother; nephews, Christian Lloyd, Frank Delose, Michael Morris and Matthew Morris and great nephew, Zachary Lloyd. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jacquelin (Hall) Lloyd of Jeannette, PA; son, Richard A. (Kimberly) Lloyd II of Harrison City, PA; daughter, Megan Lloyd of Latrobe, PA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Patricia Lackey of N. Huntingdon, PA, Shirley (Jim) Allison of North Carolina, Mary (Frank) Delose of Acme, PA and Susie Wise of Yukon, PA and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. Interment will be private.
