Obituary

 

 

Richard J. Radziwon, 79, of Ruffsdale, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, PA. surrounded by his family. He was born September 13, 1942 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Joseph R. and Angela P. (Slivensky) Radziwon. Rich was a graduate of the former Sewickley Twp. High School Class of 1961 and then went on to join the U.S. Army Reserves. Rich was a lifetime member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon, PA. He was also a member of the West Newton Sportsmen’s and the EU Local # 610. Rich worked for and retired from Westinghouse Air Brake as a machinist after 37 years. He was a hard worker and prior to Westinghouse, held jobs at Elliott Company and several small machine shops to make sure his family was taken care of. Rich loved spending as much time outside as possible; enjoying hunting, fishing and camping in Clearfield County and at his camp in McKean County. He liked to garden, read, listen to oldies music and was a fan of old cars. His grandchildren were his life and he loved spending time with them. He took his family on yearly summer vacations to the ocean; many times visiting the Outer Banks. He enjoyed playing poker at his home with his friends and family and was a gun enthusiast; being well versed in many guns make up and specifications. He is preceded in death by both parents, one granddaughter – Autumn Cheyenne Radziwon (2004) and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years - Andrea M. (Kritz) Radziwon of Ruffsdale, PA, one son – Joseph A. Radziwon and wife MeLinda of Smithton, PA, one daughter – Amy M. Baker and husband Brian of Reagantown, PA, three sisters – Barbara Terrijoni and husband Frank of Rillton, PA, Joann Losko and husband Joe of Washington, PA and Carol Radziwon of Canonsburg, PA and three grandchildren – Brian and girlfriend Alexis Yuhas, Tyler Baker and Ashlynn Radziwon. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am at Seven Dolors Catholic Church 102 Center St, Yukon, PA 15698 with Fr. Vincent Yee Concepcion officiating. A private interment will follow at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church Cemetery in Yukon, PA.
