Ronald "Racky" Lee Moore Sr.

Ronald Lee “Racky” Moore Sr., 77, of New Stanton, PA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born February 26, 1944 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Abraham Ira and Mary Romayne (Harbaugh) Moore. Ron was a graduate of Hempfield High School Class of 1962. He then went on to work and retired from Asplundh Tree Service for thirty years. He was a lifetime member of the Youngwood Sportsmen's Association. Ron loved caring for his wife, children and grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Everyone was Racky’s “ole buddy”. He loved wildlife, hunting, fishing and enjoyed being at camp. He is preceded in death by both parents, three brothers – Donald, William and Abe Moore Jr. and one sister – Betty Harbaugh. He is survived by the love of his life of 60 years – Shirley (Bussard) Moore of New Stanton, PA, two daughters – Kerry Wagner (Bill) of Hunker, PA and Tracey Cook (Brian) of Herminie, PA, one son – Ronald L. Moore Jr. (Carrie) of New Stanton, PA, seven grandchildren – Billy Baird Jr. (Danielle), Laura Wagner (Danny), Russell Wagner (Rachel), Ronald Moore III (Sarah), Katelyn Sever (Matt), Brittany Merkich (Billy) and Cami Cook (fiancé Ry), three great grandchildren – Myles, Peyton and baby Sever on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Mars Hill Baptist Church in Irwin, PA with Rev. Richard Countryman officiating. Interment will follow at the Mars Hill Cemetery in Irwin, PA. Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the funeral home.
