Russell E. (III) Barnhart

Russell E. Barnhart III, 53, of Mt. Pleasant, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. He was born October 9, 1968 in Greensburg, PA. Son of the late Russell E. Jr. and Darlene D. (Houck) Barnhart. Russell enjoyed building car models, being outdoors, sitting out on his porch and eating sweet treats. He loved oil painting, planting vegetables and flowers with his mother and listening to a variety of music; country and rock n’ roll. A great accomplishment Russell made was becoming sober after years of alcohol abuse; and staying sober for many years. He is preceded in death by both parents and one sister – Colette Barnhart. He is survived by one brother – David Barnhart and wife Erica of Bovard, PA, one sister – Maryann McClarran of Bovard, PA, one niece, five nephews, one great nephew, three great nieces and one loving companion – Charlie. Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A private graveside service will take place at Youngwood Cemetery in Youngwood, PA. Interment will follow.
