Ruth E. (Wineland) Quist

Ruth Ella Elaine Quist, 87, of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home. She was born October 8, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant Twp., PA. Daughter of the late Raymond J. and Isabelle (Smeltzer) Wineland. Ruth was very family oriented and enjoyed every minute spent with her family.  She enjoyed baking breads and cookies, and made the best peanut butter fudge. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening. She was a very giving woman and enjoyed helping people. She liked watching the cooking channel and listened to classic country music. She is preceded in death by both parents; loving husband, Kenneth C. Quist Jr.; brothers, Marshal, John and Carl Wineland; sister, Dolores Show and daughter-in-law, Shirley Quist. She is survived by children, Ronald Quist of Greensburg, PA, Roy Quist of Bovard, PA, Geraldine (David) Fabery of Greensburg, PA, Mary (Ronald) Smith of Greensburg, PA, Dennis (Lori) Quist of Bovard, PA, Sally (Jeff) Ross of Greensburg, PA and Mark Quist of Greensburg, PA; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Dan (Ednamae) Wineland of Greensburg, PA; sisters, Darlene Weyandt of Greensburg, PA and Patricia Pfeil of Jeannette, PA and sister-in-law, Nancy Quist of N. Huntingdon, PA. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA 15663 – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home on Saturday, November 26, 2022 with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Interment will follow at the Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, PA.
