Shirley Mae (Maughan) Miller

Shirley M. (Maughan) Miller, 88, of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023surrounded by her family. She was born November 7, 1934 in Greensburg, PA. Daughter of the late James C. Sr. and Rebecca (Webster) Maughan. She was a 60+ year member of St. John’s United Church of Christ where she received the title of Elder Emeritus. She was involved for many years in the Strawberry Festival the church held annually. She enjoyed camping at “VacationLand” in Sandy Lake, PA, tending to her flowers, going to the casino with her friends. She enjoyed traveling; going on cruises with her friends and vacationing in Vegas, Hawaii and Arizona with friends. She is preceded in death by both parents; loving husband of 32 years, Bob C. Miller; two brothers, James “Jeep” and Cecil “Cec” Maughan and sister, Lorraine “Rainey” Harshberger. She is survived by her children, Robyn S. (Dave) Henry of Middletown, PA; son, Ron (Wendy) Miller of Hempfield; six grandchildren, David (Ashleigh), Daniel (Heather), Laura (Kaitlyn), Jenny (Chris), Amber (Jared) and Crystal (Adam) and seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Dean, Remington, Madilyn, Cameron, Rose and Caelan. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 103 Saint John’s Church Rd, Greensburg, PA, with Pastor Bob Kruel officiating. Interment will follow at the Saint John's Cemetery Association. Anyone wishing to attend the funeral service is asked to go directly to the church. Per the family’s request, those of you wishing to make a donation can make it to the St John Churches Pavilion Fund.
