Vera M. (Baughman) Keller

Vera M. “Tillie” Keller, 98, of Arona, PA, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at TLC Adult Care Center in West Newton, PA. She was born August 1, 1923 in Greensburg, PA. Daughter of the late Anna Baughman and step-father John Shoaf. Vera attended Hempfield High School. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Arona, PA. Vera was a very humble and loving woman who cherished her family. She gave the best hugs and always told her family and friends she loved them; making her well known to many as Grandma Till. She was an excellent cook and baker; passing down many traditions including pizzelle making every Christmas. She enjoyed crocheting doilies and was crafty; making her own jewelry and Christmas decorations. She enjoyed watching the Pirates, golfing with her grandson William, playing pinochle with her friends and camping with her family at Frog Hollow in McKean, PA. She is preceded in death by both parents, loving husband – Leroy T. Keller, one son – Cleaon Keller, two grandsons – David and Brian Keller, 2 granddaughters – Kim George and Anna Keller and one brother – Robert Shoaf. She is survived by one son – William Keller Sr. and wife Ava of WV, grandchildren – William D. Keller Jr. and wife Melinda of Arona, PA, Richard Keller and significant other Pam of WV, Brenda Proctor and husband Gary of Arona, PA, Jesse Keller and wife Melissa of Bolivar, PA, Angela Krznaric and husband Aaron of Indiana, PA, 24 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday, September 27, 2021 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Samuel Scheiderer officiating. Interment will follow at the Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg, PA. Masks are highly recommended to be worn while in the funeral home.
