Vernetta “G” (Blair) Charlton, 84, of Greensburg, PA passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 surrounded by family at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, PA. She was born October 15, 1936 in Gray, PA. Daughter of the late Elmer Grayson and Luella (Fleegle) Blair. Vernetta was a seamstress and a member of the ILGWU (International Ladies Garment Workers Union) for over 25 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother; dedicating her time to raising her children. She was a caregiver to her family and many close friends; caring for husband, son, parents, and friends many times throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, watching Western movies and was a great cook and baker. She is preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband Frank Leonard Charlton, three sisters – Ethel McLaughlin, Odessa Collier and Leona Loughner and three brothers – Kenneth, Evan and George Blair. She is survived by one daughter - Judy Lynn-Charlton of Irwin, PA, two sons – Blaine and Gary Charlton of Irwin, PA, five grandchildren – Cherish, Frank (Crystal), William (Heidi), Jamie (Chelsey) and Jonathan (Alyssa), nine great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and one sister – Carol Crawford of Youngwood, PA. Friends will be received Friday, September 10, 2021 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. Interment will be private.
