Warren Cossell Obituary

Warren J. Cossell, 33, of Smithton, PA, passed unexpectedly on Tues. February 8, 2022 in Liberty Twp, PA. He was born November 30, 1988 in Hampton, VA. Son of Richard and Kathy L. (Houseman) Cossell. Warren was a graduate of Yough Senior High School Class of 2007. Warren then went on to receive his CDL for truck driving; working several places including JDS Hauling for 3 years and working towards his dream of becoming an independent truck driver. Warren was a boisterous, high energy, funny, loving man with a caring heart. He was a social butterfly, worry wart, bull in a China shop kind of guy; you could hear him before you saw him. He loved to work; keeping himself busy and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was known to help the neighbor’s by shoveling out their driveway in the winter time, mowing grass or whatever kind of help was needed. In his younger years, he enjoyed taking care of his family’s horses and riding with his mom. He was a man with a kind heart that had a soft spot for children and the elderly; many times, crawling around on the floor with his brother’s and friend’s children. Warren was very intelligent, at one point becoming the youngest Assistant Manager in 84 Lumber history. He enjoyed learning about history and current events as well as fishing, hunting and quad riding in Creek Hills. He had an eclectic taste in music and especially loved country, and enjoyed going to concerts. He loved the beach and visited many including Galveston Beach, Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach. Everyone knew that if you wanted to know something “you can telephone, telegram or teleWarren”. Warren knew everything about everybody. He was the social butterfly and known as the” town crier”. He is survived by his parents, son – Konnor Skewis of Smithton, PA, two brothers – Sean A. Cossell and significant other Mara Barnhart of Greensburg, PA and Richard A. Cossell Jr. and significant other Nicole of Latrobe, PA, one sister – Crystal A Foster and husband Alex of Seven Fields, PA and three nephews Bodhi, Elijah and Bjorn Cossell.
